Temple Kid Memory Lab (Temple University)
Who Can Participate |
For 11–14-year-olds who are fluent in English. |
What Happens |
This study will take place on a video call, live with a researcher! Clicking on the “Schedule a time to participate” button will send you to an online calendar where you can select a date and time that works for you. Your child will complete a short map-reading activity. They will use maps to answer questions about directions, locations, and how to get from one place to another. |
What We're Studying |
In this study, we want to develop and test a new map-reading activity for children ages 11–14. Researchers already know that spatial thinking is important for everyday navigation and learning, but there are few assessments designed specifically for children. By collecting responses from many children, we can determine which questions best measure spatial thinking and improve the assessment. Developing a reliable assessment will help researchers better study how spatial thinking develops and evaluate educational programs designed to support these skills. |
Duration |
