Cognitive Development Lab (Loyola University Chicago)
Who Can Participate |
This study is for babies and their mothers. Mothers should be living in the United States. Babies should be 7-months old during the first data collection session. |
What Happens |
Your baby will look at pairs of faces showing different emotions. We will measure how long they look at each face. After this, we will email you will brief surveys about yourself, your mood, and your baby's caregiving network. You will be able to repeat these procedures again when your baby is 12 months old for additional compensation. |
What We're Studying |
Many factors may affect your baby’s attention to faces, including emotion. We are interested in understanding how early social experiences may affect attention to faces and how this changes over time. |
Duration |
30 minutes per session over 2 sessions: at 7 months and at 12 months of age |
Compensation |
You will be sent a $10 Amazon e-gift card after completing the Lookit study and emailed surveys. Your baby should be clearly visible in the video consent and throughout the trials. |
