CRECE lab (University of California, Santa Cruz)

Who Can Participate

For parents of children aged 4 to 10

What Happens

This study will take place on a survey platform! You will be sent to the survey, where you can answer the questions at your own pace.
You will answer questions about your family demographics. You will also answer questions about the conversations you had or did not have with your child about death, the challenges in talking about it, the strategies used, and the necessity of support for these conversations. The number of questions may vary between 30 and 40, with multiple choice and free responses, depending on your experiences and conversations with your children. This survey might take 30 minutes.

What We're Studying

In this study, we are interested in how parents and children talk about different aspects of death. We ask parents to tell us about their experiences having or not having these conversations. We are investigating what worked or did not work in these conversations to further support parents in these challenging conversations.
