Children’s experiences with AD(H)D medication

Children’s experiences with AD(H)D medication

Children Speak: Methylphenidate Lab (Leiden University, Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences)

Who Can Participate

For 8- to 18-years-old, taking AD(H)D medication (Ritalin or Concerta)

What Happens

This study is for children who take AD(H)D medication such as Ritalin or Concerta. Your child will fill out questions about their experiences before and after starting their medication. Example questions include “Did your doctor take your blood pressure before prescribing you the medicine?” and “How often have you thought about nice things since starting the medication?”.

What We're Studying

The goal of this study is for children to express how they feel and think about their medication. There has been very little research on the subjective experiences of children, and we believe this is an important part of understanding medication use in children.

Duration

25 minutes

Compensation

This study does not provide any compensation, but we hope your child appreciates getting to share their views and experiences.
