Edinburgh Laboratory for Language Development (ELfLanD) (University of Edinburgh)
Who Can Participate |
For toddlers ages 14 to 18 months. |
What Happens |
During this study, your child will watch a short video. The video will show short clips of walking through real places. Your child can sit on your lap or in a high chair, and we will record where your child looks as they watch the video. Your job will simply be to remain neutral and supervise. |
What We're Studying |
The study explores how babies learn to navigate their visual world. For example, do babies know the which way it would be possible to walk through a cluttered, real-world scene? And do babies learn this difference only once they’ve started walking around themselves? Answering these questions could help us determine how much knowledge babies are born with, and how much they learn through experience. |
Duration |
15 minutes |
