Children and Technology Lab (Yeshiva University)

Who Can Participate

For 5-year-olds in the United States or Canada.

What Happens

This study will take place on a video call, live with a researcher! Clicking on the “Schedule a time to participate” button will send you to an online calendar where you can select a date and time that works for you.

What We're Studying

Previous research has revealed that children this age can attribute feelings to people. Our research team investigates whether children attribute feelings and beliefs to robots. Understanding how children view non-human social partners can help us better facilitate learning.

Duration

15-20 minutes

Compensation

We offer a certificate of merit. We will mail you a $10 Amazon gift card! To receive compensation, the child needs to be in the age range and the child needs to be visible on the Zoom call. The certificate of merit takes 1-2 weeks to arrive as our lab manager will need time to prepare the envelopes and postage. We can only mail to US and Canadian addresses.
