SIU Social Cognitive Development Lab (Southern Illinois University)
Who Can Participate |
4 to 9 year old children in America |
What Happens |
This study will take place on a video call, live with a researcher. During the study, your child will be asked to answer several questions after listening to a series of six stories with accompanying animations about three people (per story). After each story, your child will be asked to answer several questions, such as how they evaluate resource distribution and differences in resources available. |
What We're Studying |
This study examines how children aged 4-9 years old understand and learn about the social world. This research specifically explores children’s understanding of how we give away different items, and how this impacts the assumptions that children make about the relationships of others. |
Duration |
20 minutes |
