What will people do when they disagree?

Participants must be between 6-8 years old and based in the US.

In this activity, your child will watch two stories about different groups of characters building either a garden or a well. The groups will each have different ways of making decisions. After each story, your child will then be asked questions about what happened, as well as what the characters will do when they disagree with one another.

In this study, we hope to learn how children think we go about disagreement in group contexts. Specifically, we want to 'replicate' the results of an identical version of this task we've run previously. This will help us ensure that our findings are reliable and generalizable. Broadly, these results can help us understand how children expect people to respond across a diverse set of group experiences/dynamics (e.g., within family, amongst peers, in the classroom).
