Who shares my sweet tooth?

For babies (5-month to 12-month olds)

This study will take place on a video call, live with a researcher! Clicking on the “Schedule a time to participate” button will send you to an online calendar where you can select a date and time that works for you. In this Zoom-based study, your baby will watch videos of different people eating candy and reacting to it. We will record where the baby looks the entire time for their reaction while they are seated on the caregiver's lap.

Previous research shows babies can infer affiliation between two people with shared language and even food. However, whether they expect a social goup to share preferences for the same kind of candy is still an open question. This study will explore whether babies expect members of a group to like the same things.
