研究・調査の流れ

This study will take place on a video call, live with a researcher! Clicking on the “Schedule a time to participate” button will send you to an online calendar where you can select a date and time that works for you.
In this live session, your child will be asked questions about what they like or don't like about stories. After talking about their experiences with stories, your child will be given a theatrical script to act through with the researcher.

現在の研究・調査

Children engage in stories every day and use stories to learn about the world around them. Very few studies have used methods where children act out a story, or measured anything about their thoughts or reactions to acting out stories. In this study, we are trying out some different ideas about how to do science on these topics. For example, we will ask your kids if they "just can't like a story when it goes against what is right or okay for someone to do” to see how if they like stories with “bad guys”. Your child will also be asked to try and act! They will be given a script and asked to play a detective solving the case of the missing cookies. By seeing if children can engage with these questions about stories with "bad guys" or different forms of stories like theatre - allows us to understand how children engage with many different types of stories.
