Puppets Working Together

Puppets Working Together

Harvard Lab for Developmental Studies (Thomas) (Harvard University)

研究・調査への参加資格

For 16 to 20 month-old babies

研究・調査の流れ

During this study, your child will watch videos of cute puppets trying to build some towers together or alone. We want to understand whether babies believe agents who do or don't collaborate will build taller towers. We will be recording you child's attentiveness during the study and checking for where they are interested in looking at the scenarios that we show on the screen.

現在の研究・調査

We are interested in whether babies have some expectations about how agents do or do not collaborate in the world. In particular, the goal in this study is to understand whether babies expect other agents to build taller towers when they're working together, as opposed to alone. The answer to this question has implications for what types of knowledge babies are born with vs. what they learn, and might also help us think better about also how we should scaffold what we teach young children on top of this knowledge.

期間

15 minutes (including setup and instructions)

Within about a week of completing the study, you will receive a $5 amazon gift code by email once we verify your consent video and that your child is in the correct age range.
