This study will take place on a video call, live with a researcher! Clicking on the “Participate Now!” button will redirect you to an online calendar, where you can select a date and time that works for you.
During this study, your baby will be presented with images that show pairs of dominant and submissive faces and listen to audio recordings of dominant and submissive voices.

When meeting someone for the first time, adults make quick judgments about the other party based on their faces and voices before they even engage with them. This skill enables us to determine how best to interact with a stranger for the first time. While faces and voices communicate various traits that tell us more about an individual, this study is focused on dominance. Specifically, we are interested in examining whether infants can match dominant-looking faces with dominant-sounding voices, and when this ability emerges. Through this study, we hope to gain more insight into how our understanding of dominance develops.
