Your child will see two faces on the screen. The top parts of the faces will either be the same or different. Your child will be asked to decide whether the top halves of the faces are the same or different. At the end, there is a survey for parents about your children's social behaviors. This study will help us better understand the development of face perception in kids. |
現在の研究・調査 |
Faces play an important role in social communication. To interact successfully with others, children need to recognize and tell people’s faces apart. In this study, we are interested in how typically developing children perceive and recognize faces. We also have a companion study for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), which helps us better understand the differences in how kids with autism and kids without autism see and recognize faces. By comparing results from both groups, we hope to learn more about how face perception develops and how it supports children’s social understanding and communication. |
