研究・調査の流れ |
Your child will read some stories and complete a survey on their own. The first set of questions will be about what people from different geographic areas might be like. Your child will then read a story and answer questions about the differences in educational resources between a rural, urban, and suburban school. Finally, they'll also answer some questions about their everyday experiences with people from different geographic areas. Then, you'll answer some brief questions about your child and about people from different geographic areas. |
現在の研究・調査 |
The purpose of the study is to understand what and how children think about different geographic areas (rural, urban, and suburban) and about the differences in resources between these areas. We know that people might hold stereotypes about people from these areas and we also know that these different areas have different amounts of resources for their students in schools. We hope this work can help lead to interventions which promote positive interactions between people from different geographic areas and which promote positive eudcational opportunities for people from different geographic areas. |
