ABC Lab St Andrews (University of St Andrews)
Who Can Participate |
For 9-to 16-year-olds |
What Happens |
This study will take place on two video calls, live with a researcher! Clicking on the “Schedule a time to participate” button will send you to an online calendar where you can select a date and time for the first session. During the first session, your child will answer questions about mood and attachment, take a vocabulary assessment, and do “matrix reasoning games”. In the second session, your child will do memory games. We will also ask you (the adult) to do a short survey about your child’s emotions. |
What We're Studying |
We are trying to understand how different ways of feeling close to people (called ‘attachment style’) might affect the way children and teens remember past events (such as birthdays or special trips, called ‘autobiographical memory’) and how this connects to feelings of low mood (such as sadness). |
Duración |
About 75 minutes: 35 minutes for the first session, and 40 minutes for the second session. |
Compensación |
• Include the following conditions: the child needs to be within the specified age range, needs to be visible for the entire video call, and only one experiment is allowed per child. |
