Do Babies Think Nice People are also Fair?

Toronto Early Cognition Lab (University of Toronto)

Who Can Participate

For 12 to 23 month-olds. Each child can only participate a single time.

What Happens

This study will take place on a video call, live with a researcher! Clicking on the “Schedule a time to participate” button will send you to an online calendar where you can select a date and time that works for you.

Your baby will see a series of short videos containing animated shapes. These shapes will hit or protect each other, and share strawberries fairly or unfairly. We will record your child's looking behavior as they watch the videos.

What We're Studying

We are interested in whether babies think nice people are also fair. For example, do babies think a person who protects someone will also share food fairly? Knowing how babies think about things like niceness and fairness can help scientists think about how to raise kinder children.

Duración

15 minutes
